The day I put my name on a blog
Here I am! My name is Ainslie Hunter and I am online.
It feels silly to write that statement as I have been writing, creating and interacting online for a while now. But they were on other people’s spaces.
On my own spaces, Study Skills Mentor and Cutting Horse Link, I make a point not to say my name. Great for privacy…bad for trying to get a job online.
So here I am….
Now what should I do. Because first posts on blogs are the pits…really the most awkward posts to write.
I know… I will do the Problogger Link Challenge (with a twist).
Problogger Link Challenge
7 posts that link to 7 themes (except I will link them to my current online work that is scattered over the web)
First Post: An Introduction to Study Skills: Wow I got straight to the point on this post didn’t I. To be honest, I had written the first 30 posts before going live and then made those posts into a free ebook. Great strategy but not a mind blowing ground breaking post.
A Post You Enjoyed Writing The Most: Postcards from Grandparents I liked writing this post because it just flowed so easily. Simple is sometimes the best! I am a contributor for Parentella.
A Post that Had a Great Discussion: Dealing with the Difficult Guest Post that was actually an example of a post I had written to try and get a job as a education blogger
A Post on Someone Else’s Blog that I wished I had written: Anything by the Pioneer Woman - she oozes everything that is great about connecting with people online
A Post with a Title I am Proud of: How a $50 packet of Tim Tams could get you a Blogger Job
A Post I wish more people had read: The Ian Francis Story: Living the Legend A review post with a difference on a great man and great horse trainer.
My most visted post ever: 2010 NCHA Select Sale This really isn’t a post. It is a list of horses that were for sale at the NCHA Futurity and I posted the results live. This was new in the ‘cutting horse’ industry and wildly popular because of the updates.
So welcome to my blog!
Ainslie
